I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
